We’ve provided Filming Production Services to Goodnight Vienna and Phil McIntyre Entertainments for the music video accompanying the new Comic Relief single ‘I Know Him So Well’ recorded by Peter Kay as Geraldine McQueen and Susan Boyle.
Martin Riley, Lion Eyes’ Director said he was ”extremely pleased the team had been given the opportunity to work with Peter again, creating such an iconic looking video for as brilliant a cause as Comic Relief and that the crew had all worked hard to create a great final product’ everyone should be proud of”
The video for the original recording of the song was recorded in 1984 and featured Elaine Paige and Barbara Dickson.
For the 2011 version Peter decided to keep as close as possible to the original style of the video, that includes hair, makeup, props and camera angles. I thought it would be a laugh,” Kay said in The Bolton News.
“I wrote to Susan Boyle and she was really up for it. She was great on the day and worked very hard. We did stick to the Dickson/Paige version but have added some subtle funny bits.”
The Lion Eyes team were in the Pie Factory, Salford for eight days in total, with one shoot
day.
